On May 29, 2025, Professor Zeng Jinsheng, Vice President and an academic leader in neurology of The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (FAH-SYSU), led an expert delegation to visit Heyou International Health System. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics including the development of neurological disciplines and innovative medical technologies, injecting new momentum into the healthcare development synergy in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.
During the seminar, Heyou presented an overview of the hospital, along with its progress in disciplinary construction, talent development, and research planning.

Currently, American companies are conducting research on CAR-NK therapy yet with slow progress. China, however, is keeping pace with the U.S. in the field of cell therapy. During China's 2025 Two Sessions, the cell health industry received significant attention from delegates, who proposed accelerating the approval of new cell therapies, promoting full industrial chain development, and enhancing domestic innovation capabilities. We must seize this opportunity to advance research in cell therapy, strengthen China's competitiveness in the global biopharmaceutical market and provide better service to patients.
Mr. Liu Xiaofang, President of Heyou Hospital
President Liu Xiaofang noted that FAH-SYSU, as a national medical leader with exceptional strength in neurology, was a key role model for Heyou Hospital. He highlighted that this seminar marked the beginning of collaboration and that Heyou would fully commit itself to joint research in relevant field, in the expectation that the two hospitals would partner deeply in neuroscience and other key areas.
Mr. Zeng Jinsheng, Vice President of FAH-SYSU
Vice President Zeng Jinsheng praised Heyou Hospital's state-of-the-art facilities and strong medical team, as well as Shunde people's traditional spirit of humility and pragmatism. He added that Heyou's flexibility in systems and policies would help facilitate cooperation in healthcare and research. He expressed his hope that this partnership would serve as a springboard for comprehensive collaboration across multiple fields.
This exchange visit has deepened mutual understanding between the two hospitals and laid a solid foundation for future collaboration in healthcare and research, contributing to coordinated medical growth in the region and accelerating industry–university–research collaborative innovation in the biopharmaceutical sector.
