Work Experience
Graduated from Fudan University School of Medicine, pursued postgraduate studies in Canada, and completed postdoctoral research at McMaster University.
Served as Chief Physician at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University (Grade A tertiary hospital), holding positions including Director of General Surgery, Director of Hepatobiliary Surgery, Director of the Department of Surgery Teaching and Research, and Director of the Surgical Residency Training Base.
As Department Director and academic leader, he guided the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery Department at Guangzhou Medical University First Affiliated Hospital through adversity. After fifteen years of relentless effort, the department achieved significant progress across all aspects, earning designation as a Guangdong Provincial Key Clinical Department and obtaining liver transplantation accreditation. This made it the only municipal hospital in Guangzhou authorized to perform liver transplants, establishing the discipline as a key player in the Guangdong region.
Honors Received
In 2017, he was honored with the title of “Guangzhou Good Doctor”; in 2019, he was honored with the title of “Lingnan Famous Doctor.”
Academic Achievements
As a member of the national “Eighth Five-Year Plan” key research project team, he completed experimental studies on the treatment of liver cancer using I131-labeled anti-HBxAg monoclonal antibodies. During his studies and work in Canada and the United States, he completed the preparation of monoclonal antibodies against the HER2/neu antigen.
Upon returning to China, he continued research in tumor immunotherapy-guided treatment. His work received funding from the Ministry of Personnel's Overseas Returnees Start-up Fund, the Jiangsu Provincial Health Department Key Project Fund, the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Key Project, and the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation Project.
He holds three patents and has published over 40 academic papers, including more than 10 indexed in SCI.
