Introduction:
Professor Yu Xinguang served as Director of the Department of Neurosurgery at the former PLA General Hospital. He completed advanced training at the Barrow Neurological Institute of the University of Arizona and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, studying under world-renowned neurosurgeons including Guosheng Duan, Spetzler, and Dolenc. In 2013 and 2014, he was listed among the “Top 100 Renowned Physicians in China” (specializing in skull base tumors and craniovertebral junction malformations).

Area Of Expertise:
Specializes in cerebrovascular diseases, skull base and deep brain tumors, and craniovertebral junction malformations; pioneered novel surgical approaches for cavernous sinus tumors in China and was among the first in the country to identify and report conditions such as cerebral venous malformations; Internationally pioneered the structural classification of the atlanto-axial lateral mass joint and was the first to report intraoperative CT navigation-guided treatment for complex craniovertebral junction malformations and direct reduction techniques for C1-2 injuries.

Academic Achievements:
Published over 200 papers and undertaken more than 20 national and military research projects.
