As a nationally renowned expert, Li Dongyu has performed nearly 10,000 complex cardiac surgeries, including China Medical University's first heart transplant. His primary expertise lies in surgical treatment of coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, congenital heart defects in infants and children, aortic and great vessel diseases, and end-stage heart failure management. He routinely performs off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting, minimally invasive coronary artery bypass grafting, minimally invasive valve repair, small-incision congenital heart defect repair, and major vascular surgeries such as aortic dissection repair.

Director Li Dongyu specializes in complex congenital heart surgery for infants and young children, coronary artery bypass grafting, and minimally invasive valve surgery. He successfully performed China Medical University's first heart transplant.

Academic Achievements:
Vice Chairperson of the Cardiovascular Surgery Branch of the Liaoning Provincial Cell Association, Head of a Provincial Key Discipline in Liaoning Province, Talent at the Hundred-Level Tier of the Liaoning Provincial Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talent Project, and Outstanding Physician at the Provincial Hospital Level Nationwide.
